Dinner Meeting

Event Sponsored by: Connecticut Bankers Association and Joe Romanello of Strategic Resource Management (SRM)

February 10, 2016 | 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Program Description

M&A vs. Organic Growth: Challenges and Opportunities Affecting Community Banks in New England in 2016

Peter J. Ostrowski – Ostrowski & Company, Inc.

William W. Bouton III – Hinckley, Allen & Snyder LLP

The competitive landscape for community banks is intensifying. Success in 2016 must include defensive tactics to ward off potential legal exposure and reputational damage, and offensive tactics to attempt to improve growth and profitability. The presenters will cover a variety of topics of interest to financial institutions, whether they are publicly traded, mutual banks, or credit unions.

This will be of interest to not only Finance personnel but to CEOs and other members of management involved with strategic decision-making.

Mr. Ostrowski’s topics will include an overview of New England trends including operating performance, markets, M&A, capital offerings and branching. Mr. Bouton will focus on legal and regulatory aspects such as contract relationships, outsourcing, new products, current regulatory focus and shareholder activism.

We would also like to thank Joe Romanello of Strategic Resource Management (SRM) who has graciously offered to sponsor the cocktail hour.
