Jad DeQuattro (Moderator)

Jad DeQuattro is a Director of Piper Sandler & Co. Previously he was a Director of Sandler O’Neill + Partners, L.P. where he was employed since 2003. DeQuattro’s responsibilities cover a broad range of strategic and tactical advisory work for community banks. This work includes balance sheet restructuring, establishing investment/funding/hedging programs and asset/liability analysis. DeQuattro also assists banks in capital raising and mergers and acquisitions. Recent engagements include the Guilford Savings Bank and Eastern Connecticut Savings Bank mutual merger, the Gorham Savings Bank and Maine Community Bank mutual merger and NH Mutual Bancorp on its Subordinated Debt capital raise. Prior to joining Sandler O’Neill, DeQuattro was an equity analyst researching bank stocks and the banking industry for Keefe, Bruyette & Woods in New York. DeQuattro received a B.A. and M.A. from Tufts University. Mr. DeQuattro is a licensed Registered Representative and has completed his Series 7 and 63 examinations.
Mark Ingalls
Executive Vice President, CFO & COO | Dedham Savings
Mark is the CFO of Charlesbridge, MHC the $4.6B mutual holding company of both Dedham Savings and South Shore Bank. He earned Bachelor of Science (Accounting) and Master of Science (Finance) degrees at Boston College, is a graduate of the National School of Banking, and is also a certified public accountant. He started his career in public accounting with Wolf & Company but has spent the past 37 years working at community banks, including the past 13 years at Dedham Savings, currently as EVP & CFO/COO.
Stephen Johannessen
Chief Financial Officer | Cape Cod 5
In 2013, Stephen Johannessen joined the Bank in the role of Financial Project Manager and was quickly promoted to roles of increasing responsibility, including Associate Director of Finance, Director of Finance/Assistant Treasurer, and Treasurer. Steve was named the Bank’s Chief Financial Officer in 2019 and to the Bank’s executive management team in 2022. Since joining the Bank, Steve has played an instrumental role in leading the Finance, Accounting, and Data & Analytics teams and has focused on expanding the capabilities of the department by developing the skills of those teams. Prior to joining the Bank, Steve served as an Audit Manager at Marcum, LLP (formally Parent, McLaughlin, and Nangle, CPAs, Inc.) within their Financial Institutions Services Group, located in Boston, MA. Prior to this position, he held numerous roles of increasing responsibility at Parent, McLaughlin, and Nangle, including Audit Associate, Senior and Manager. Earlier in his career, he served as an Audit Associate for LGC&D, LLP (now Citrin Cooperman, LLP) located in Providence, RI. Through this experience, Steve developed strong leadership qualities, enhanced by a record of successful project management and high ethical standards. Steve attended the Sawyer Business School at Suffolk University where he earned a Master of Finance Degree in 2010. In addition, he earned his CPA designation in 2010 and a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from Providence College in 2005. Steve was elected by the Cape Cod YMCA to its board of directors in January 2022, fulfilling the role of treasurer.
Joseph Schueller, CPA

A native of Minnesota, Mr. Schueller received his BS from the University of Minnesota and spent the first 11 years of his career in the Financial Services practice of PwC. Upon relocating to Massachusetts, he held senior finance and accounting roles with State Street, Admirals Bank, and Santander. Most recently, Mr. Schueller served as SVP, Chief Financial Officer for Hills, IA-based Hills Bancorp./Hills Bank & Trust, a $4B publicly traded community bank. He and his family reside in Middleton, MA.
Derek Szot
Managing Director | Piper Sandler & Co.
Derek Szot is a managing director in the financial services group at Piper Sandler. Previously, he was a managing director in the investment banking group of Sandler O’Neill + Partners, L.P. where he provided strategic advice primarily to depository financial institutions throughout United States. Szot has significant experience working with mutual savings banks. This includes capital planning within the mutual structure, the conversion process where merited, and post-conversion capital management strategies. In addition to the capital offering process, Szot has an extensive background in mergers and acquisitions with particular expertise in financial modeling and helping clients assess the impact of various strategic alternatives to their base operations. Before re-joining Sandler O’Neill in 2004, Szot was co-founder and principal of Y-Merge, which was acquired by SNL Financial. He originally joined Sandler O’Neill in 1993. Szot is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Columbia University.
