Dear FMS friends,

The Philadelphia Chapter of FMS is proud to be entering our 70th year. We recognize and understand the challenges facing our membership during this pandemic. Through these unprecedented times, our priorities remain to provide excellent educational and networking opportunities to our members including the Holiday Party at The Sheraton Valley Forge and the 2021 All Day Seminar.  We will continue to be committed to charitable work and to providing scholarships to deserving students.  While there’s still a lot of uncertainty, we know that we need to quickly adapt to new delivery methods of education.

National FMS members have access to a variety of specialized education, information, and networking opportunities. As CFOs, Controllers, Treasurers, and other Finance & Accounting professionals from community banks, thrifts, credit unions, investment banks and service providers nationwide, you can benefit from these resources.  Additionally, our members can deduct their local Chapter Dues from their National Membership Dues, which is a savings of $70 for bankers and $100 for vendors.  In order to do so, you must first renew your local Chapter Dues before completing your National Membership.  Become a member of both and access your benefits today.

As many vendors and institutions have curtailed or frozen spending, we would like to extend our membership benefits to one individual within your organization complimentary for the 2020-2021 membership year.  This individual must be a new member. Existing members are not eligible for a complimentary membership. Additionally, FMS will defer your dues for ninety days if you have suffered hardship due to the COVID-19 crisis. Our year will start with the FMS & IFI Annual Golf Outing, to be held on Monday, August 10, 2020 at the Chester Valley Golf Club.  The golf outing will look and feel different than in the past. The number of golfers will be limited and all golfers will be assigned a tee time to accommodate social distancing. We will provide additional information in a separate communication about the specifics of the outing.

Given these extraordinary circumstances, we are exploring offering a lunch and learn webinar series in the fall instead of our traditional monthly meetings. Our hope is that these efforts will facilitate a continued sense of connection to the Philadelphia Chapter of FMS.

As your new Philadelphia Chapter President, I am fortunate to have a great group of Officers and a committed Board of Directors.
